Our Mission

Seed Fork of The Highlands was launched by members of the middle Tennessee community who are passionate about local food and have a vision of transforming the Upper Cumberland.

SeedFork began with a few farm to table dinner events, horticultural therapy programs, and a mission to appreciate local farmers. Over the years, SeedFork has grown into a strong team of leaders who are passionate about connecting farmers, food entrepreneurs, and engaged community members. Together, we can support our farmers, educate the community about local food, and, ultimately, build strong relationships.

We're dedicated to building community through local food. Community gardens, food distribution programs, farm to fork dinners, and horticultural therapy are all part of our mission of providing the Upper Cumberland with education and sustainable access to fresh and local foods. SeedFork brings people of diverse backgrounds together to better understand and celebrate local food, and uses the resources given to them to address the community’s needs.

We are growing SeedFork by encouraging people who love to grow, harvest, serve, and eat good food to come around our nonprofit, and be part of this food revolution. Bringing people together is what we’re all about.
